The 2020 Impact Awards
We are delighted to announce that applications for the Mates in Mind Impact Awards 2020 are now open!
The Mates in Mind Impact Awards aim to celebrate our Supporters contributions to improving mental health within their workplaces and across the wider sector.
The awards highlight the impact of both large and SME organisations across the UK, as well as acknowledging individuals who have championed the development of mentally healthy workforces.
The deadline for applications will be closing Friday 14 February 2020.

Mates in Mind's Impact Awards celebrate those driving meaningful and long-lasting change across UK workplaces. Apply now if you would like the opportunity to:
- Be recognised for your organisation's efforts to transform mental wellbeing
- Raise awareness by starting the conversation and through this help to tackle the stigma and silence around mental ill-health
- Educate other organisations about how to address mental ill-health, by showcasing the measures you have taken and their impact within your workforce and the wider industry.
Who can enter?
Access to the Impact Awards is exclusive to our Supporters. Supporters can submit applications for the 2020 scheme as an organisation, as a particular site or as an individual.
Applications for the Impact Awards are free, places on the night are subject to a fee.
The Large organisation Impact Award
The Impact Award for larger organisations and projects, with over 250 employees will be awarded to an organisation which has shown tremendous commitment to improving mental health amongst its workforce, as well as across the construction sector more broadly.
The SME organisation Impact Award
The Impact Award for SME’s will be awarded to an organisation with less than 250 employees, which has shown a significant dedication to promoting positive mental health and wellbeing across construction.
The Project and/or Joint Venture Award for Large organisations
New to the Impact Awards 2020, this will be awarded to Large organisations who have been taking meaningful action to improve mental health across their projects and joint ventures.
The Project and/or Joint Venture Award for SME organisations
This will be awarded to SME organisations who have been taking meaningful action to improve mental health across their projects and joint ventures.
The Individual Champion Awards for Large organisations
The Individual Champion Award, which was launched during our 2019 scheme, will be awarded to an individual from a large organisation who has exhibited exceptional commitment to improving mental health and wellbeing within their organisation.
The Individual Champion Awards for SME organisations
The Individual Champion Award, which was launched during our 2019 scheme, will be awarded to an individual from an SME organisation who has exhibited exceptional commitment to improving mental health and wellbeing within their organisation.
How to enter
Applicants for the 2020 Impact Awards will need to complete four short questions using our online application form and may additionally provide further supporting material.

Last year, our awards gala dinner evening was held in conjunction with the British Safety Council’s International Safety Awards at the Grosvenor House hotel in London, in early April.
